Polisher - Boca Raton

The role of the Polisher is to ensure shelves, racks, tables, and service stations are consistently stocked with essential items for seamless service. Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of glassware and silverware designated for the dining area. Prepare additional table settings by neatly folding napkins and arranging place settings. Occasionally conduct physical inventory checks and mark inventory as necessary.

  •  Stocking shelves, tables, and service stations with supplies.

  • Receiving, unpacking, and organizing restaurant supplies.

  • Polishing glasses and silverware for dining room use.

  • Restocking utensils, and condiments, and maintaining workstation supplies during service.

  • Folding napkins and setting extra place settings.

  • Conducting inventory and identifying items for reordering.

  • Understanding and maintaining machinery/tools.

  • Supporting other staff members (barbacks, runners, server assistants).

  • Understanding and handling chemicals used.

  • Keeping the polishing station clean, sweeping, mopping floors, and managing trash.

  • Not putting dirty items with cleaned ones.


Department Responsibilities

  • Maintains constant quality control of all areas of the restaurant, ensuring the required standards are always met.

  • Prioritizes actions and delegates effectively.

  • Is self-reliant, working with minimal control and direction, acting on own initiative when necessary.

  • Ensures that all necessary work is completed before the commencement of service.

  • Ensures that all working areas of the restaurant are maintained in a clean and hygienic condition at all times.

  • Ensures that the agreed standards of service are supervised and adhered to.

  • Performs other job-related duties as directed.

  • Works as a team player at all times and is prepared to be flexible to ensure that operations are always as efficient and profitable as possible.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • High School Diploma
